Sergio is the Managing Partner and founder of the firm in 2004. He divides his time between our offices in Bilbao and Madrid.

He has more than 20 years of experience in Regulatory Compliance.

He is registered in the SCJ list of Judicial Experts in Compliance, has the International Certification of Compliance Officer of the IOC and is registered in the Sepblac as an external expert.

He is the Chairman of the Advisory Board of the Institute of Compliance Officers (IOC) and member of the Commission for the Prevention of Money Laundering of the General Council of Spanish Lawyers.

He is a practicing Auditor – Chartered Accountant (registered in the ROAC under No. 20130). Insolvency Administrator – Judicial Expert.

He is also a member of the Institute of Directors-Administrators, Chartered Accountants of Spain…

In addition, he is a regular trainer and speaker on Regulatory Compliance and professor of the subject “In-depth management control” at the Universidad Comercial de Deusto.

As for his academic background, he holds a degree in Economics and Business Administration from the Unidad Comercial of Deusto and completed his training with a Master in Advanced Management (MEGA) and with research proficiency in Accounting and Advanced Management at the same University.

He speaks Spanish and English.

Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with family and friends. He loves to practice all kinds of sports and as he is a native of Bilbao wherever he goes, he could not be more proud of Athletic Bilbao.
